2012 To-do List

HOPPY NEW YARES!

Normally I don't like Resolutions. To me, it was always a way to set myself up to fail, and that was a very sad way to start the new year. BUT a couple weeks ago, I started talking with my lovely friend Lisa about things I wanted to accomplish in 2012, and I thought. "Oh no. It happened. I've made resolutions." They crept up on me.   So, I've decided to embrace it. To buckle down and make it happen. And also to not call them "resolutions," but rather a to-do list...because I do love those. I want to share them with ya'll so you can smack me if I fail. (Nothing like a little motivation, eh?)

 *gulp*

Here we go. (There are quite a few, so prepare yourselves)

1. No pop for a year. (I was off for several years, but the husband got me hooked again. He knows my weaknesses I tell you! Darn you Cherry Cola and Cream Soda!)

2. Read every book of the Bible. (I'm thinking chronologically, rather than Genesis to Revelations.)

3. A weekly photo challenge. Which I will share with you guys on Fridays. (I want to expand my photo taking abilities. To be able to just go outside my comfort zone, I guess.

4. Learn "Eye of the Tiger" on the guitar. (I was going to say "learn the guitar," but I thought I should start small.)

5. Grow a garden. (Something like this perhaps?)

6. Go on a picnic.

7. Finish Les Miserables, Jane Eyre, and Sherlock Holmes. (I have several more, but this will be a start.)

8. Donate blood.

9. Run a marathon...5k.

10. Start a Daily Thankful List with Kyle. (Here's the notebook I made for us to use.)

11. Tie-dye a shirt.

12. Watch a sunrise.

13. Talk Kyle into letting me have a pet.

14. Become a sewing machine ninja. (I got a sewing machine for Christmas...JACKPOT!)

15. Go to NY

16. Make yogurt and bread from scratch.

17. Sew a pillow (This could be bundled with #14, but oh well!)

18. Finish our Wedding Album. (And by finish I mean start.)

19. Make my own jam and can fruits and stuff.

20. Go "all- natural" (mostly).

21. Make a pinhole camera.

P.S.

Crave Photography is having a super AWESOME giveaway. A Nikon or Canon lens...you choose. You should go like her page and enter. (Or don't...leaves a better chance for me. ;) )

  2. Ah hahaha! I'm happy to hear about your #18 because you got married before me and your wedding album isn't started yet. I even work where I'm going to get them printed and I haven't done it yet.  :P

Good luck on the yogurt! I'm willing to make a lot of things from scratch but I'm too chicken to do yogurt.

I believe in you Julia! I will watch you run a 5k, not share any of my pop with you, eat the bread you make and look at your wedding album. I am here for you. :)
