.currently.

What a crazy week it's been. Last night after I got home, Kyle and I added it up and realized I hadn't spent an evening at home in a week! Me, being the home body that I am, thought this was madness! Even though we both fell asleep at 9:30 (What?! It was a loooong day!), it was still nice being home. Now don't get me wrong, I love doing things. Being out on the town, having girls nights, going on trips, ect. I just need my home and alone time to recharge, ya know?

I have a few things I wanted to share with ya'll...just a few things I have been, you know...obsessing over. You see, when I find something I like, I just can't get enough of it. I hear a song I like? Put it on repeat. Find a food I like? Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's just how I roll. I'm an all or nothing kind of gal. Sooooo, some things that I am head over heels about right now are...

1. The color mint. I. am. obsessed! Ever since I got my mint shoes, I've been hooked. I was at the mall a few days ago and saw these...it's as though God put them there to test me. (I'm trying not buy clothes this year, and I was doing fine until I ran into these. Curse you, mall!)

2. Epilogue, written by Anne Roiphe. A beautifully, tragic book. I just started yesterday and I can't put it down! It's a Memoir Anna wrote about her life after her husband of 39 years dies. It is unfathomable to me. Just the thought of Kyle dying makes me burst into tears. And while this book is heartbreaking, it is also laced with a kind of sad humor. Definitely a recommended read.

3. And lastly, this song! Trust me, it's been on repeat for days! So, so good. It's called Somebody That I Used To Know by Walk Off The Earth. Beautiful. Give it  listen!

Anything you guys are finding hard to say no to? A yummy recipe you keep going to over and over? A song you can't get out of your head?

I read a book a little while ago that dealt with losing a loved one, and I just fell. totally. apart. I started crying and (because I was reading in bed late at night) ended up waking up Alex and telling him that he is never, under no circumstances, allowed to die. Ever. So I know what you mean!

My current obsession is lemon. Fresh lemon. I keep using it on salad and veggies and stuff. Mmmmm. I want it all the time!

  3. Why do we do this to ourselves!? I was tearing up within the first paragraph! I think it's good to read things like that every once in a while though...it helps you to be thankful and not take anything for granted.

We looove lemon. I can hardly keep it in the house for more than a day. Kyle will just eat them like apples!
