.a recipe for a good rainy day.

Like I mentioned earlier, it's been raining a lot as of late. On days like this I just want to cuddle up with a good book, some of my favorite tea, and never get up. Just lay around cherishing the clean, refreshing rain. However...this, more often than not, isn't always an option. So I do this instead....

...I take a nice long walk and jump in puddles, take pictures, and get soaked. OR...I stay inside where it's nice and warm and bake bread. Simple, no nonsense kind of bread.

It's so easy, I didn't even need to write out a recipe card. You just mix the these ingredients:

3 C All-Purpose Flour
1/4 tsp Instant Yeast
1 1/4 Tsp Salt
1 1/2 C Water

Then, let rise for 12 hours.
Flatten slightly & fold the ends to make a square.
Place in (already heated) bowl at 500 degrees for 30 minutes (with a top..or you can use aluminum foil).
Then 20 minutes without the lid.

Easy peasy!

  1. Ah, I've heard that kind of bread is so good. I need to buy a casserole with a lid so I can make it!
