.grocery list: free printable.

I know today is supposed to be Who We Are, but this week has been a little bit of a hurricane for us and last night me and Kyle just wanted to do nothing more than cuddle and play games together. :) To say I'm sorry, I have included a free printable for ya'll because if you know me, you know I loooove me some lists.

So, anyway there's still snow on the ground from this weekend. SNOW, people!! It's almost April! Aaaah! To show the snow who's who, I bought a pair of shorts and a swimsuit. Take that snow!

I also planted a lot of little seeds (some have even started to sprout!) Mostly there's just flowers, but I did decide to try my very brown thumb at some Basil....because let's be honest, it is the very best spice.

In other news, Kyle and I decided to be crazy and spontaneous and go on a trip to New York!! We are pretty darn excited about it. We keep taking turns saying things like "what if we run into Mariska Hargitay!?" or "What if they're filming a Law and Order while we're there?!" or  "AH! We have to get giant pretzels while we're there!" or "I can't wait to reenact You've Got Mail in Central Park!!" (okay...that last one might have just been me....) Neither of us have been and we're only going to be there a couple days so we're trying to cram every epic thing in that we can. Anyone have any youhavetodothiswheninnewyorkoryourenotreallyexperiencingnewyork kind of thing??

p.s. if you missed the new series on our blog....you can check it out here.

    Hey, Julia!

We went to New York on our honeymoon, and yes, it WAS epic. Seems like you're going to do the important stuff already--explore the city, spend time in Central Park, etc.--but food is of primary importance. New York houses the best cheesecake, pizza, and bagels, not to mention Chinatown is the greatest. I can give you recommendations on all restaurants, if you like. You'll adore it there!

    1. Oh yes, please!! I want as many recommendations as I can get!! I'm thinking I'm going to have to eat nothing from now until we go because all I'm gonna do when I get there is eat! Sounds like there's yummy food galore!

    1. Do it!! I'm sure it will be much more exciting when you get to go as you get to experience it all through your little one's eyes too. :)

  3. OOoohhhh New York! I went when I was in High School (so it's been awhile), but I do remember it being epic. My sister and I went to visit our Dad and he took us to a Broadway play, it was pretty awesome. I know you and Kyle will have an amazing time. Take lots of photos!!! :)

    1. I'm glad I'm not alone in my list loving. Sometimes I make a list, just so I can cross things off. :)

  5. Julia, I've been to NYC four times now, and I must say, 2 days is barely enough to soak in the whole city, but you'll love it! The must sees: Times Square at evening/night time and Central Park ALL afternoon. The financial district and Brooklyn Bridge are cool to see if you like architecture. China Town and Little Italy have lots of quirky places to shop and eat and are right next to each other. If you have an extra day and a rental car, drive to Jones Beach on long island... it is cold water if it's not July yet, but it's so clean and beautiful and is away from the city trash. Also, walking up and down 5th avenue makes you feel like a rich window shopper and Ellis Island is cool if you want to see the city from the bay and really like history.
When are you planning to go???

    1. Yes! I was gonna email you and ask for advice on the where's where and what's what. I'm definitely planning on going to 5th Avenue and pretend I'm really rich and fancy. haha! Ellis Island is going to be closed while we're there due to the hurricane...I'm really dissapointed about it. :( You need to tell me where in China Town and Little Italy to go!! I'm going to be so overwhelmed!
