.watercolor valentines.

One thing I dislike about holidays/birthdays is buying cards. I mean, I love it when I stumble upon the right card, but spending forever digging through the crude, ugly, and silly one's to find the right card...just not something I enjoy! (I'm also not fond of spending $3+ on a folded piece of paper.) SO, when Valentine's Day started creeping up on me (like a million days ago) I decided to do a little something different. I decided to create card for Kyle. I'm by no means a Picasso, but I had a lot of fun creating a few cards and also a "love" print to put in a frame. So, go! Create! Grab some paper and some paints and have a little fun. Create a love note or a "hello" note or a happy birthday card!

Do you guys have other ways to create your own birthday, Valentine, or Christmas cards? If so, feel free to share some ideas with me! I've got lots of little (and big) celebration's this year and I can use all the help I can get. :)

More pictures after the jump!

  1. I'm right there with you ... there's just something so magical (and far more meaningful) when you create something yourself :)
