.mini flag garland.

Happy Monday! I hope all of you had a wonderful Sunday celebrating Easter! We spent the morning at church, the afternoon at Kyle's family's house, and the evening at my family's house. That's the bonus about holidays and being married....jam packed full of family time.

In other news, I think I ate my weight in pie yesterday. Forget Easter candy! Hand over the French Silk Pie, please! That's the downside about holidays and being married...jam packed full of unhealthiness that you just have to take part in.

Anyways........

I wanted to share this mini flag garland thingamabob that I made for our kitchen table. The other day I was at Hobby Lobby buying some glue to make gak, and I noticed that the paper was 50% off.

....Now, you have to know something about me. I have a thing for paper. Me and my sister were talking about this the other day...our love of paper. It's a real thing. I have to stop myself from buying sheet after sheet of paper, card stock, stationary, postcards, thank you notes, etc. I have to limit myself to buying only what I need.

So as I was staring at the paper that day, willing myself to think of something, anything to make with this paper so I would have a reason to buy some paper, this "garland" popped in my head. I grabbed two shades of pink card stock and one polka dotted card stock and the rest is history!

If you have an itching to make this for yourself, here's how to do it!

  4. This is adorable. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, and another thing...I keep finding more and more things that we have in common. I LOOOOOVE paper too!! When my sister and I were wee ones we would have these folders full of all sorts of paper and call ourselves the paper gals. We dreamed of having our own business and all we did was make our desks look organized, cute and have loads of paper. hehe. Thanks for bringing back that memory. :)
