.that time i lost my mind....




Tomorrow my sister and I are starting a 3 day cleanse. We will be drinking nothing but juice, herbal tea, and hot water. Yay?

I have been seeing this "fad" done by many of my friends and a toooon of bloggers. I didn't want to give in, but after doing some research I thought "why not?" Is just eating a crap ton of fruits and vegetables for a couple days bad?

If you've been reading this here blog for any length of time, you know I love me some sweets. It's hard for me to say no. I think purging my body of all those icky things that are in there right now and forcing myself to resist sweets for a couple days will be good for me. I'm hoping it'll help me feel better, more energized, and develop some better eating habits....it'll probably just make me hate my life for those three days, but it's worth a try. (right?! right!?!?)

I got all my info and recipes for the juices I'll be doing from Reboot with Joe. There are about five billion recipes out there, but I liked this websites because he included the grocery list for the three days...haha. It's run by the same guy who did the popular documentary "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead." (Which I have yet to watch. I'm too scared it'll make me not want to eat food ever again....and I love me some food.)

  1. i think that is a great challenge, nothing wrong with jumping on the bandwagon or just checking it out for yourself. let us know how it goes!

  2. I LOVE doing juice cleanses. A three day one is the perfect length for me...totally doable, and yet you can really, REALLY feel the results. There is such a fresh, clear feeling after doing one. The only time I've ever had a hard time on one is when I drank too much fruit juice...the sweetness of the juice started to hurt the inside of my mouth, and make me feel weird! So it helps to drink mostly vegetable juice, with a little fruit for flavor :)

    1. I can totally see that! The sugars from the fruit juice hurting your mouth...I actually haven't had any fruit ones so far, but I have to admit, at this point I don't care if it hurts my mouth...I need me some fruits! :P

    1. It's so hard to change eating habits! The first day was a nightmare, but it just proves how addicted my body was to "bad" food!

  4. ahh how is it going?! My husband and I did a week long juice cleanse in January. It was really really difficult but felt amazing all at the same time. So good for you!

    1. Really, really difficult about sums it up! The first day I thought I was going to DIE! I went to your post about juicing and I had to laugh because at that moment I too was battling The Mean Green and was curled up on my bed in defeat. haha
