"sit down by the fire, love"

Friday called for being spontaneous.
For forgetting the laundry, and chores, and responsibility.
It pleaded to get up at the crack of dawn and spend the morning at work with my husband.
The afternoon begged for a long nap and a Netflix marathon.

Saturday called for a roaring fire to warm my toes.
To sit around with friends until way too late, talking about heaven and death and life and freedom.
It begged for an extra large glass of cider, fuzzy socks, and pumpkins being carved.

Sunday called for friends and family and church and football.
For playing sand volleyball...which also called for sore muscles
and for sacrificing a little sleep to play just one more game.

This weekend called for making memories that will last a long, long time.

how was your weekend?
i hope it called for only good things.
