tuesday's musings

instagram // julia_barger

Happy Monday! Wait...what's that you say? It's Tuesday?? Oh. Well, happy Tuesday!

I usually try to post on Mondays, but yesterday kind of got away from me. I got up and ran (kill me), then I cleaned our little space, after that I started working on our Christmas cards (eeeee!), went Christmas shopping (online, but it still counts, right??), helped out with a photo shoot (for the family I used to nanny for), and then I ate sushi and watched Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire (you know..the one where they're all going through puberty and have long wavy locks?)

Exciting, eh? :)

Oh! I did manage to cross another thing off my Autumn to do list (gathering colorful leaves). Yay! I had been waiting for all the leaves to change, and they finally have! I don't know if it's the grey weather we're having or what, but everything looks so vibrant right now! It's breathtaking.

    1. I've learned that the only way I'll actually get out of bed is to ask someone to go with me! That way I can't cancel on them! :) It's worked...most of the time. ;)

  3. SO gorgeous! And every day is a good day for HP haha. You did better for a Monday than I did anyways...I was supposed to work out but it was so blustery outside I just lounged by the fire all day long. Woops.

    1. Haha! Agreed! We are currently going through the whole set with my sister so we've managed to get together multiple times this week to watch them. :P It's like a prolonged marathon. ;)

p.s. blustery days are made to be spent lounging by fires!

  4. Oh my gosh, what a packed day! Could you make me to-do lists please!! ;) I have to admit that people talking about Christmas shopping already makes me so anxious (eternal procrastinator over here), but yay for Harry Potter! I think Goblet of Fire is one of the best ones!

    1. I totally understand. I'm usually never on the ball this early, but I have a friend who is completely done Christmas shopping...all the presents are bought AND wrapped. So, it made me want to start getting a move on!

  5. Loving leaves! I also collected a few as well. :) But still need more... I plan on creating something with them, just haven't decided what yet. :P ...And I am also re-reading the HP books and I'm on the Goblet of Fire... and ready to watch the movie once I'm done reading it. :) I'm such a nerd, but I love them!

    1. Fall leaves are the perfect decor, in my opinion! Have you figured out anything to do with them yet? I saw a leaf garland going around on pinterest that would be super cute. :)

Also, I'm rereading the books as well! They're just too good!

  8. A girl after my own heart. We do a Harry Potter marathon every October, this year we've only gotten halfway through The Sorcerer's Stone.. A sick and teething baby were not in the initial plan. We may finish by Christmas!

    1. Yes, I think that would slow down the marathon just a tad! But that's okay, nothing wrong with dragging out Harry Potter watching as long as possible. :)

    1. Me too! It's far too short...especially in the Midwest where I live. Winter is always rushing to join in on the fun.
