.and on every street corner you'll heeeear....

It's finally here! The most wonderful time of the year! Thursday marked Thanksgiving....which I think we all know really means "The Day Before We Can Start Going Christmas Crazy."
Am I right??
I mean I love me some Thanksgiving, but I think it should be moved to October so Christmas can have a full two months celebration. It's really only fitting. :)

In all honesty, I've already been preparing for Christmas.
Our Christmas cards are ordered  (they were having a sale a few months ago where I get them printed and I couldn't pass it up!) and they're addressed and waiting to be sent on their way.
What what!

*Also* I've gotten most of my shopping done. (HALLELUJAH!) I've got a few more things to buy for Kyle Steven. (Last year he kicked my butt in the gift giving department, so I'm determined to own him this year!)
I'm not gonna lie, I'm flippin' giddy about this Christmas. I'm excited about all the gifts Kyle and I have picked out to give to our family and friends.
There's something so fulfilling about finding and giving the *perfect* gift for someone.

I like to get the shopping out of the way before all the crazies come out to buy things. Then I can hole up in our bungalow, listen to Christmas music, sip on some delicious egg nog, wrap presents, and work on crafts.
I've found a few beautiful diy decorations on---where else---pinterest, and I thought I'd share a few with ya'll.

Kyle and I like to keep it simple with our decor since our apartment is so tiny.
That's why these crafts caught my eye.
(That and they all seem easy...I'm all about that!)
I love the typography wall art especially.
I'm thinking of making it in gold however. One can never have too much gold.
And the birchwood candle holders will make an awesome centerpiece for our coffee table.

    1. Christmas time really is the best!!

Normally I'm still shopping the week of Christmas! I decided to start early so I wouldn't have to deal with the stress of the crowds...it was SO much better. Haha

    1. I know what you mean! I'm not a "natural" crafter either...I have to work really hard to get anything come out halfway decently. So, if I can make these YOU can! There's super easy...promise. :)

P.s. Food is the ultimate handmade thing! :)

  8. I wish Christmas had more time for celebration too, waiting until after Thanksgiving just isn't enough! And there definitely is something about finding someone the perfect gift...it's one of the best feelings! Good luck with that for Kyle :] And the holidays were created for doing so much crafting...right!?

  9. I'm really trying to revel in the Christmas season this year. Usually I'm so busy and we're travelling and whatnot that it kind of passes me by. But this year I'm actually mostly done with my shopping and we have zero travelling to do, so I can already feel myself getting more into the spirit! Finally... I was starting to wonder how everyone managed all that cheer!!

    1. Yay for getting in the spirit!! I've been trying to be intentional about really enjoying the holidays and not letting time pass me by! So cheers to the both of us. ;)
