currently.

i recently watched the episode of doctor who where david tennant leaves and let me tell you....i have never cried so hard over a silly show in my life. it was borderline embarrassing.
soooo...that's where i'm at in life.

someone pleeeease buy me this

getting a head start on my yearly attempt at getting a green thumb. hoping these "hard to kill" plants will do the trick.

me and my sister (but mostly my sister) made some chapstick for ourselves. i'm like a chapstick addict. so it's real awesome. we (but mostly she) used this recipe. easy peasy. we also made some face moisturizer because we went in search of some at target and wowza is it expensive! plus, you know...full of chemicals. we used a rendition of this recipe. we had different ratios depending on what we wanted to "focus" on. i really like it so far!

i bought some really thick, really soft yarn the other day. thinking about making this infinity scarf with it.

can someone please slow time down for me? january is almost over and that makes me wanna cry a little. (that was my second reference to crying this blog post...emotional much?!)
anyways, what are some good valentine's day lovey dovey type things?
am feeling way uninspired this year. (such a bad wife)

been looking into starting to take some vitamins. (this body of mine isn't as young and springy as it once was.) manda's post about her regimen was suuuuper helpful. anyone else got any tips/advice?

i'm starting a book entitled "remember everything you read" by stanley frank. my brother speed reads and he's been trying to get me into it lately. I don't necessarily want to read super fast (where i'm reading rice lines together or something) but it would be nice to read faster and to actually remember most of what i read.
Do any of you guys speed read?

  2. That infinity scarf is fantastic! I hope that you make it- it would look so pretty on you! And I'm a pretty slow reader. I'd like to think that because I take my time that I will remember most of what I've read but it doesn't always turn out that way. Let me know how the speed reading works for you!

  3. Oh my god, just hearing about that last episode of his makes me emotional and then Amber up there posting his last words?? Stop it, people! You're not alone, so many tears did I cry!

Also, I too am in the market for a new moisturizer and vitamin regimen (New Year's resolutions and whatnot), so let me know how both work out for you and I'll just mosey on over to those links and check them out. Thanks for posting!!

P.S. Matt Smith will ease your pain. I didn't want to believe it, but he's just so goofy and lovable that it helps!

  4. Don't be embarrassed...I cry during all of my shows. I cried my eyes out pretty much every episode last season of Grey's Anatomy...so bad. Haha. TV shows get to me way more than movies do. And I would LOVE to learn how to speed read. I want to read more this year than I have been in the past but it takes up so much time to get through a book. My dad speed reads though and he remembers every single thing.

    1. me too! i think it's because tv shows go on so much longer than movies...you get so much more invested in the characters! it's a bittersweet thing for sure!

  5. Oh my gosh, I totally cry over TV shows! As far as vitamins, most doctors will really just recommend a multi-vitamin and sufficient calcium and vitamin D for women. If you take too many, your body just gets rid of them, and you've wasted money! Can't wait to check out your chapstick recipe!

    1. yeah, that's what i've read! i think i'm going to start with multivitamins and maybe slowly add one at a time to see how it affects my body.
